Top 3 Reasons To Cruise to Bermuda

Bermuda may not be on your radar as you’re considering where to go on your next cruise but I’ve got a few reasons why you should consider it. Maybe you’ve been to the Bahamas, cruised through the Caribbean and hit several of the same ports a few times. Why not spice it up and check out somewhere you haven’t visited yet?

I decided to shake it up and try cruising out of Cape Liberty on Celebrity Summit this Summer and I’m so glad I did. (Major shoutout to Celebrity for graciously extending an invite to attend Seminar at Sea, a learning opportunity for travel advisors aboard Summit!)

There are several options of different lines that offer cruises to Bermuda and I highly recommend Celebrity. Their itinerary gives you the most time in port and the ships and service aboard are top notch. The Celebrity Summit is one of the older ships in their fleet but it’s been fully updated (“revolutionized”) and there are many high-end features including lots of thoughtful details in the staterooms and tons of technology integrations throughout the ship.

  1. Cruise by Statue of Liberty

There aren’t many cruises that take you by the Statue of Liberty, so this is unique and fun feature of this itinerary. You’ll get a beautiful view of the New York City skyline from a gorgeous vantage point. There are several perfect spots out on deck to drink in the views and snap those Instagram worthy photos.

2. Two Overnights in Bermuda

One of the typical drawbacks to cruising is not having enough time in port to do and see all the things you want to check off your list. Arguably the coolest part about doing a seven night cruise to Bermuda on the Celebrity Summit is all the time you’ll get to enjoy Bermuda. You’ll be able to hit the pink sand beaches, check out the Crystal Cave, nosh on the famous fish sandwich (on toasted raisin bread, like the locals eat of course), and maybe take a boat tour out to the edge of the Bermuda Triangle if you’re feeling brave. There will be plenty of time if you want to plan tours or just explore and see where the days take you.

3. Elevated Experiences During Sea Days

If you haven’t cruised Celebrity yet, I highly recommend trying a cruise with this brand. Whether you will be traveling with your family (their Camp at Sea is an excellent program for kids centered around STEM education), looking for a special romantic getaway, or making memories with friends - you will find something you love about Celebrity. The food is excellent with lots of variety and opportunities to experience speciality dining including Le Petit Chef, a must-see immersive dining show. Another area I absolutely love about the Celebrity Summit is the Sunset Bar. As the name suggests, it’s the perfect place to catch a gorgeous sunset in port or as you sail through the ocean.
